Partners For Pets wants to make sure you and the pet you are interested in are happy together. Please fill out the online application and we will contact you to discuss the pet with you. Our staff has worked with the animals and can help to make a great match.

Adopting an animal is a serious life-changing event.  Please be sure you’re ready for this commitment. You can view the Ultimate Guide to Pet Adoption Blog here which talks about the benefits of adopting an animal, pet adoption myths, things to consider before adoption a pet, pet care tips, and much more!

Once your application has been received, you will be contacted by one of the P4P staff or volunteers.

Our pets benefit greatly by being in a home environment where they can get more one-on-one interaction rather than at the shelter.  It is much easier to evaluate an animal's temperament, habits, and like/dislikes in a home.  Stressed animals seem to come out of their shells much more quickly in homes than they do at the shelter, and it is easier to tend to the ones who need special care in a home environment.  Not to mention they are so much more comfortable and relaxed sleeping in a nice warm bed than in a crate and the shelter.  For timid or severely stressed animals the shelter can be a frightening, intimidating place and many don't do well in that environment.  We also would prefer that moms with pups are not kept there but rather in a foster home so they can get a healthier start at life.  Partners For Pets covers all medical costs for your foster animal as well as providing food and a crate if you need it.  All you provide is the love!

Please considering opening your heart and your home to one of our homeless pets until they can find their "furever" home.

Volunteer with Us!

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Partners for Pets! We rely heavily on the dedicated volunteers to keep shelter activities running smoothly.  We feel that everyone is good at something and would love to have you join us and contribute your own little "special something" to our group.  We have many opportunities assisting with fundraising events which includes a lot of behind the scenes preparation as well as the actual event, helping out at the shelter with cleaning, grooming, or socializing some of our shy dogs or those with "issues" we are trying to work through, helping out at adoption events, various online and database maintenance, graphic arts, assembling gift baskets for silent auctions, marketing our group in the community, and the list goes on and on.

Tell us what you're good at or what you would like to do and we'll find a place for it to fit in and work with our organization.  Not only will you be helping homeless animals with your talents, you will gain a new group of friends that most of us consider family.
