CLEAR THE SHELTER

$10 ADOPTION FEES ON ALL ADULT DOGS AND CATS (over 1 year)

On an average month, we schedule roughly 1-2 large dog returns. In July alone, we have had more than 10 return to our care. We want to be able to keep rescuing more dogs, but we are running into very limited space and would love to get some of these smiling faces out of our shelter and into their forever homes!

That’s why we’re partnering with Best Friends Animal Society to help you #LetLoveIn starting July 9 through July 11th!

We've included some photos of dogs and cats in need of homes, including any information on them in the photo captions, but that's not all of our adoptable pets!

You can view all of our adoptable dogs and find your match at www.partnersforpetsil.org/adoptables.

Introducing Partners for Pets' Unicorn Foster Program

Hope.png

This program is relatively new to Partners for Pets, and we can save even more lives through your financial support. Don’t have the proper home environment to foster a Unicorn but still want to help?

A great way to do just that is to follow the link below and donate toward our Unicorn Foster Program! In-home training sessions, specialized marketing and support and even special t-shirts are just a few of the resources that go directly into our P4P Unicorns and their fosters.

Partners For Pets is a licensed, 501(c)3, no-kill animal rescue located in Troy, IL.  Partners for Pets regularly visits animal control facilities and rescues animals that have used up their time, need medical care, and/or are too fragile for shelter life. Partners for Pets provides care to each animal prior to adoption. This includes, depending on their age: booster shots, deworming, heartworm check & monthly preventative, rabies shot, spay/neuter, grooming, flea/tick prevention, and other necessary care.

Veterinary care is provided at reduced cost through Horseshoe Lake Animal Hospital and St. Louis Veterinary Center. A big "Thank You" to Horseshoe Lake Animal Hospital and Carol House Quick Fix for all of their excellent work. About 5% of the animals are kept in foster care until adopted while the other 95% are kept in a shelter environment until they are adopted.

For more information about adopting an animal, please click on the "Adoptable Pets" tab.  Adoptions take place every Saturday at the O'Fallon, IL PetSmart, every Sunday and the first Saturday of the month at the Glen Carbon, IL PetSmart, and every Sunday at the Edwardsville, IL Petco.  (Note:  O'Fallon adoptions are dogs only.)

Sponsor a Shelter Animal
Unfortunately, many of the animals we pull from animal control facilities are either injured or hurt.  You can help by sponsoring a pet today to help get them back on track to being healthy and adoptable.

Volunteer Your Time
There is a lot of help needed with direct care for the animals. However, there is much more that needs to be done!  Do you have design and/or computer skills?  Are you good with marketing?  There are so many opportunities to help!

Foster a Pet
When you foster, Partners for Pets provides a crate or litter box, food, and all vet care.  We simply ask you to share your love and home with the animal until they are adopted by their forever family.

What They Need
Help the dogs and cats at the shelter by donating some of the supplies needed to provide them with the best care possible. Items needed include things like cleaning supplies, collars/leashes, beds, and toys.

Cotton.jpg

A few weeks ago we stumbled upon a Facebook post regarding a 10 month old Great Pyrenees that needed rescue due to the dog being unable to walk and it's owners not having the proper home for him anymore. Of course we offered to help this big lug & just like that transport was arranged and Cotton became part of the Partners for Pets crew. In April, Cotton visited Northgate Animal Hospital for some initial x-rays to see exactly what we were dealing with and what our plan of attack would be for sweet Cotton. We were filled with hope when we found out that Cotton has double luxating patellas and a torn cruciate. While these things are very uncomfortable, especially for a 90lb puppy, they are treatable! Cotton is scheduled to have his first of two surgeries with Dr.Jacob at Red Bud Veterinary Service on Friday, April 23. He will have a long road to regain his strength and mobility but we expect Cotton to make a full recovery & find his happily ever after in a few short months.

Shelter Location: 9136 Lower Marine Rd., St. Jacob, IL 62281

Open Monday-Friday from 12PM to 4PM

DUE TO COVID-19 THE SHELTER IS CURRENTLY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
